Name:
Michael O’Holmes

The Beatles – Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band
First concert attended:
Led Zeppelin – Southampton Gaumont, January 21st, 1973
Last concert attended:
Paul McCartney – Hammersmith Apollo, December 18th 2010
5 guests (living or dead) you would invite to a party:
Jesus
Emperor Constantine
Jack the Ripper (I just wanna know...)
Brian Eno
Stephen Fry
Fancy dress costume of choice:
Duh! Wings of course...
Most embarrassing moment:
Oh goodness, far too many of these so far in my life. Picking one at random: being exceptionally drunk at the London Apprentice (as it was in the 80s...) in Old Street – trying to chat someone up and suddenly sneezing with unpleasant consequences... didn’t seem to put them off though...
Favourite food:
Hmmmm, Lentil cottage pie...
3 favourite albums:
You gotta be kidding? Just three? OK, today they might be:
Steely Dan – The Royal Scam
Prefab Sprout – Jordan the Comeback
Ella Fitzgerald – The Rodgers and Hart Songbook.
Worst job I’ve ever done:
I can’t really think of a terrible job that I’ve absolutely hated... The first job I had was washing cars on a Saturday (got paid 50p a day!), but it wasn’t horrendous... data entry wasn’t the most stimulating thing I suppose...
Ideal place to live:
The Barbican, London, preferably in one of the flats overlooking the lake, or maybe Central park upper west side...
3 favourite films:
You gotta be kidding, etc... maybe:
The Apartment
Finding Nemo
4 Lions.
Guiltiest pleasure:
Er, not convinced I feel guilty about any pleasures (at least none I can write about...). I think you’re talking about things like my Carpenters complete collection box set or the fact that I like cheesy country music and Rodgers and Hammerstein musicals?
Preferred mode of transport:
First class, of course!
Favourite book:
Haven’t actually read a lot recently – I used to read all the time, particularly on my commute to work, but now it’s mostly listening to stuff on the iPhone. I’d probably go for ‘The light of other days’ by Arthur C Clarke and Stephen Baxter.
Least favourite biscuit:
I like all biscuits, although if there were a cheese, snake and vinegar flavour I’d probably not go for it.
Favourite hardwood:
Sean Connery?
