The Lens - Regeneration
The Lens release their new album 'Regeneration' on 26 October 2010. Written and produced by Michael Holmes, Regeneration contains all new material.
While most of the instrumentation is down to Mike, Regeneration also features our very own Paul Cook on drums and percussion, original Lens drummer Niall Hayden on er, drums, and Sax maestro Tony Wright (featured on the IQ albums Subterranea and The Seventh House).

'The Wake in Concert' CD/DVD - on sale in Berlin!
GEP is to release a double disc live set of The Wake show.
The CD contains the complete Wake suite which was recorded at the Boerderij, Holland, earlier this year. The DVD features the performance of IQ's classic album as well as the encores ‘Infernal Chorus’, ‘The Darkest Hour’ and ‘Failsafe' along with a Photo gallery featuring a 2010 remix of ‘Corners’
Priced at £12/€14, GEP have kept the price of this unique document as low as possible.
The two disc set, featuring artwork designed to be the perfect addition to the ‘25th Anniversary deluxe box set’, will be available for the first time at IQ's return trip to Berlin on 22nd October (details on this page) and at the following two shows at the Rind in Rüsselsheim and the Camelot Club in Milan. Naturally, for those who can't make it to the shows, the double disc set will be available via the GEP and IQ stores with sales beginning after the shows.

Mark to leave
It is with great sadness that we have to announce Mark Westworth’s decision to leave IQ. Here is Mark’s explanation:
“It all stops here! Well, it's been an honour to have become a small part of the history of IQ, however I've made a decision to follow my head rather than my heart and will be leaving the band at the end of the year. Having to juggle family life, a full time job and finding time to play all this prog nonsense has been more than a handful of late. Anyway, I shall leave with some great memories and will definitely miss the camaraderie and frequent lunacy of the band and crew, and the loyal fans. Creating music will always be my passion, so hopefully I'll find an outlet to release something in the not-too-distant future. All the best, Mark x”
Mark’s final appearance with IQ will be at the O2 Academy, Islington, on 11th December. We would like to thank Mark for everything he has contributed to the band over the last three years and we wish him every success in his future endeavours.

The Legendary IQ Christmas Bash 2010
The 2010 IQ Christmas Bash will once again be held at the O2 Academy in Islington, London. Tickets for the December 11th event will be available shortly via the usual outlets. Look out for further UK shows to be announced soon.

Scoring the Angels - 'The Wake' 25th Anniversary
2010 marks the 25th anniversary of the release of 'The Wake' by IQ, hailed by many as the defining album of the 1980s progressive rock movement.
To celebrate the occasion, GEP are releasing a Definitive Edition of 'The Wake', a 2-CD set featuring the original album remastered, along with a series of demos and previously unheard studio outtakes.
A Deluxe Edition 4-disc set will also include an extensive booklet, further demos and studio outtakes, work-in-progress mixes, a DVD of live footage from 1984 (the earliest surviving live film of IQ), band commentary and more. Details are still being finalised.
To support this release, IQ will be playing a series of live dates in 2010 during which they will perform 'The Wake' in its entirety for the first time.
